Welcome to Mathematics for Change.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions.
These terms govern your use of the platform, including access to lessons, tests, teacher dashboards, and related services.
If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
These Terms & Conditions also apply to school trials, school licenses, and other paid educational services ordered through Mathematics for Change.
2. Educational Use of the Platform
Mathematics for Change is designed primarily for teacher-guided educational use within schools and learning environments.
Teachers independently manage classroom implementation, lesson delivery, and student access codes within their own educational settings.
Student interaction with the platform is limited to completing lesson assessments and receiving automated educational feedback.
3. Purpose of the Platform
Mathematics for Change is an educational toolkit designed to support teachers and students in exploring mathematics through real-world sustainability topics aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The platform is intended for authorized educational use within schools and learning environments.
4. User Accounts and Teacher Area
Access to reserved teacher areas may require login credentials.
You agree to keep your login details confidential and to be responsible for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. School Trials and School Licenses
Mathematics for Change may provide paid school trials, annual school licenses, and other educational access arrangements.
The specific service, access level, duration, invoicing currency, activation date, and any other commercial terms are those agreed with the School and confirmed through the applicable Mathematics for Change School Order Form, quotation, invoice, or other written communication.
Access will normally be activated after payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A School Trial or School License may be limited to specific lessons, grade levels, subject areas, teachers, or other agreed access conditions.
6. Orders and Authority
By submitting a Mathematics for Change School Order Form, the person submitting the order confirms that they are authorised to place the order on behalf of the school, educational institution, or organisation identified in the form.
The School is responsible for ensuring that the information provided in the School Order Form is accurate and complete.
Submission of the School Order Form, together with acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any applicable Data Processing Agreement, forms part of the agreement between the School and M4C Education OÜ.
7. Invoicing and Payment
Invoices are issued by M4C Education OÜ using the billing information provided by the School.
Payment may be made using the payment methods made available by Mathematics for Change, including bank transfer and credit or debit card.
The School is responsible for providing any purchase order number, billing reference, tax information, or other administrative information required by its organisation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, access to paid services may be withheld or suspended until payment has been received.
8. Trial Conversion
Where expressly stated in the applicable offer, invoice, or written communication, the amount paid for a School Trial may be credited toward the price of a subsequent annual School License.
Any such credit applies only under the conditions communicated by Mathematics for Change for the relevant School Trial.
9. Duration, Expiry and Renewal
School Trials and School Licenses remain active for the period agreed with the School.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, access expires at the end of the agreed period.
School Trials and School Licenses do not renew automatically unless an automatic renewal arrangement has been expressly agreed in writing.
10. Use of Content
Mathematics for Change lesson materials, texts, graphics, assessments, teacher guides, and other digital resources are provided for authorised educational use within the scope of the applicable School Trial or School License.
Users may display, project, and use the materials with students for classroom and educational purposes during the applicable access period.
Materials may not be reproduced, redistributed, resold, published, shared outside the authorised organisation, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from M4C Education OÜ.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and design elements remain the intellectual property of Mathematics for Change unless otherwise stated. External datasets (e.g., FAO, NASA, Our World in Data) are credited according to their respective open-data licenses.
12. AI and Data Usage
AI-assisted evaluations, feedback, and assessment analytics are designed to support formative educational use only and do not replace teacher judgement or formal classroom assessment.
Where Mathematics for Change processes personal data on behalf of a School, such processing is governed by the applicable Mathematics for Change Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy.
13. Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Mathematics for Change Privacy Policy.
Where M4C Education OÜ processes student-related personal data on behalf of a School, the School acts as the Data Controller and M4C Education OÜ acts as the Data Processor, as further described in the applicable Data Processing Agreement.
14. Suspension and Termination
Mathematics for Change may suspend or terminate access where there is a material breach of these Terms & Conditions, misuse of the platform, unauthorised sharing of access credentials, or non-payment of amounts due.
Where reasonably possible, Mathematics for Change will provide notice before suspending or terminating access.
15. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to ensure accurate and reliable content, Mathematics for Change cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or protection from temporary interruptions caused by external systems.
Mathematics for Change educational materials, automated feedback, and analytics are intended to support teaching and learning and do not replace professional teacher judgement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, M4C Education OÜ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of the platform.
16. Changes to Services and Terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, services, legal requirements, or operational practices.
Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
Material changes affecting an active School Trial or School License will not retroactively alter the agreed commercial terms unless required by law or agreed with the School.
